Greenhouse Component Research Assignment

You and your team will need to research the below greenhouse components and each possible option for each type of component. (Example: Four types of greenhouse coverings: Glass, Polyethylene, Fiberglass, Polycarbonate.) For each option you need to discuss the advantages, disadvantages, include a picture of the component and finally choose what one you will use for your greenhouse model and why. In addition, each member of the team will need to make an educational poster on one component type. Each member’s poster should be on a different component.

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to introduce myself, my name is Christina Fister. I am a senior at Montana State University studying Agricultural Education. I will be graduating in May with a Bachelors in Ag Education and a two year Associates of Science degree. My home town is Kalispell, MT and I love anything and everything agriculture. I grew up riding horses, farming and doing custom leather work with my grandpa.

In high school I was heavily involved in the agriculture classroom as well as in FFA. You could find me as a chapter officer, member of every community service committee there was and on the sales and agronomy teams. Agricultural education was my everything and it just seemed perfect to make a career out of it. This wouldn't have been possible without a lot of guidance from my ag teacher Mr. Bay. I hope to be able to help your students in finding their passions just as my ag teacher did for me.

Needless to say agriculture has always been a passion of mine and I am so excited to share that with you and your students. Hope to meet you all and have a great second semester.
